Exercise Training and Nanocurcumin Induce Down-regulation of EGFR/MAPK/STAT5/FN14 Pathway Genes in Tumor Tissue of Glioblastoma Multiform Model Rats

Background: Since EGFR inhibitors show a limited therapeutic effect on Glioblastoma multiforme patients, the EGFR/MAPK/STAT5/FN14 signaling pathway becomes vulnerable to invasive GBM cell population and may be suitable target for treatment of GBM. Nanocurcumin consumption exercise training are probably effective interventions in this pathway. Objectives: This study aimed investigate simultaneous effects exercises EGFR/MAPK/STAT5/FN14/FN14 tumor tissue model rats. Methods: In study, 40 male Wistar rats were randomly assigned five groups: 1- control (CON), 2- glioblastoma multiform (GBM), 3- multiform+concurrent (GBM+CT), 4- multiform+nanocurcumin (GBM+NC), 5- multiform+nanocurcumin+concurrent (GBM+NC+CT) groups. The groups performed aerobic (20 - 35 minutes at 18 m/min) along with resistance (climbing ladder three sets repeated four times) received rate 100 mg.kg-1.day-1 weeks. Gene expression was measured by real-time PCR. Two-way analysis variance used analyzing data. Results: According our results, concurrent significantly reduced expressions EGFR, MAPK, STAT5, Fn14, mRNA compared group (P < 0.05). Furthermore, nanocurcumin as well Nanocurcumin+Concurrent decreased STAT5 A significant reduction recorded all levels GBM+NC+CT those GBM+NC Conclusions: sum, combined nano curcumin have been adopted non-pharmacological strategy modulate genes multiform.
